Who is Mahavir?
Lord Mahavir was born in the month of Chaitra on the 13th day of the bright half day of the moon, in the Kshatriya and of Bihar, 599 BC. He was the 24th and the last Tirthankar (the god who promoted religion).
Born in the house of King Siddhartha and Rani Trishala, Mahavir gave his parents the name of his parents and lived his early life like a prince.
In his early years, Vardhman developed a deep interest in the main beliefs of Jainism and began to meditate. At the age of 30, he was given spiritual truth. He spent 12 years as a monk.
